PROWLER5 - 4/30 - LAST BLACKFISH TRIP REPORT NEXT TRIP MAY 3RD - FLUKE
We were out today for the last day of blackfishing and it was a gorgeous day on the ocean, flat calm. Good anchoring conditions today. We had a bite on the blackfish but it was about 85% shorts today. We did get some nice keeper tog though and maybe a half dozen ling, no codfish. Capt. George came out to do a little fun fishing and he said to come down Tues., May 3rd for the first fluke trip of the season. George and myself are going to work hard to produce some fluke. Being blackfish and seabass closed, there's nothing for us to fish for tomorrow (Sunday) other than striped bass and we aren't doing that kind of fishing. So we'll be fluking every day starting Tuesday, May, 3rd. 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., all bait supplied.
