![]() Hey gang. We left the dock at 7:15 a.m. as soon as we had 40 customers on the boat. Flew out to the fishing grounds where we have been fishing. We made a couple of drops, just a slow pick on keepers and shorts. Then we pulled anchors and tried out in the deeper water. Had a pick on some nice tog out there but seems they were only catching them in the bow. We just got in-shore and are trying in the shallower water. So far I see a few shorts. High hook has 3 keepers today. Other guys with 2 keepers. Pretty slow day - up around 20 keepers. It was a pleasure having Gerry and the gang from NJfishing.com fishing with us. I know Gerry caught a couple keepers and I think his buddies caught a few also. We should be docking around 3 or 3:30 today. We are definitely sailing tomorrow, Saturday. Showers are in the forecast, but the ocean is going to be nice. I'm guessing we'll have about 15-16 customers tomorrow. From what I saw today, all the party boats had good crowds on the boat. We'll definitely see you in the morning. Thanks, Capt. Scott - Happy New Year!

![]() Was a great day to be out on the water with Jarhead Arty and Sven of the Hook Tim. Also had a nice surprise getting to fish with Todd, his Dad and Vinny.
I think there were a total of 21 keepers caught on the boat. I believe Tim was high hook with 3, Art had 1, I had 1 and probably 9 or 10 shorts all on the jig. Captain Scott had us fishing all over trying to get a bite dialed in. We made 4 big moves and several wiggles in between. We started on the mid grounds, moved out to the deep and wound up inshore to finish the day. The mid grounds were probably the most productive of the 3 areas. Mark ran and worked the deck like a cross between a jack rabbit and a comedian working a room. He’d pop up out of know where when needed and wherever he was there was a lot of laughter. He and the other mates had a handful dealing with 40 people bottom fishing with jigs and rigs. They were right there when needed them untangling, taking fish off your hooks, getting bait or watering down and bleeding your fish. You didn’t have to ask, they just did it. I’ve traveled a lot of different places fishing over the years and I have to say we’re really spoiled here in NJ with the best and friendliest crews on the planet! Thanks Captain Scott and Mark for a great day on the water and taking such good care of us. Happy New Year!
