![]() Despite some tough conditions, we had a very nice all day bite on the Porgies today.
Plenty of Big beauties coming in with Lenny taking the pool with a 2 1/2 pound fish. Weather looks great all week and we are the only 3/4 boat, so come on down. have some fun & catch some dinner. Open Boat, No Reservations. Sailing everyday 7:30am till 2:30-pm, Bottom Fishing. See you in the AM, Capt. Ron |

![]() Capt. Ron, lot of happy fares! I've caught a lot of porgies but never ate one. What other fish would you compare them to taste wise and what in your opinion is the best way preparing them.

![]() Porgy Franchise is the Best or Fried with several dipping sauces, Tarter, Sweet Tia chili, Cocktail Sauce.
One of my top Favorites to eat, nice texture & sweet, much better than Fluke for sure. I also cut out all the fat, soak in an ice bath with a touch of Kosher salt & lemon juice to draw out the fat. Fillets come out snow white, nice & firm. Enjoy!! ![]() |

![]() I tend to think they taste like striped bass. Usually make fish tacos, ceviche or sashimi.
