![]() FISHING WAS VERY GOOD TODAY! We went to a different area where the water was nice and clear and we could see fish 50’ down coming up. We had LOTS OF BLUEFISH and they are getting LARGE! The pool winner went about 10lbs. We also had some ALBACORE and 2 ALMACO JACKS which are unusual to catch in this area. We had a lot of great big beautiful SEA BASS that we had to throw back, some PORGIES, and some FLUKE. It started off slow but kept getting better and better and by the end of the day IT WAS SUPER.
The GOLDEN EAGLE sails every day for STRIPERS & BLUES at 7:30 am from Belmar Marina in Belmar, NJ. For more information visit us at www.goldeneaglefishing.com or call 732-681-6144. See you onboard. |

![]() Very cool catch and I am far from a Jack scholar but that looks different from what the locals called Almaco Jacks in OBX. That is the 3rd or 4th different kind of Jack I have seen caught up here the past month. I like the visitors

![]() funny, i saw that jack photo and thought it looked like a yellow jack also. i'm no jack expert either but i have caught them in the caribbean, usually though in shallow water and around inlets. they are great fighters!
