Talking Sandy Hook Surf report 9/6,7

Hit the surf yesterday to relax with the fam. Set up a bait rod and jigged for Fluke while waiting. Not even a touch on the bait rod in 8 hours. Crabs were demolishing my bait as soon as it hit the water. The Fluke action was good enough to keep me busy. Must’ve caught around 35 shorts with 9-10 just under that 18 inch mark. No Sea Robins seen and no surface action.

Went back early this morning and had 2 17 inch Fluke right off the bat. Then I saw some surface action so casted the metal. Blues ranging from 1-3 lbs. kept myself and others busy til about 11 am when the wind kicked up out of the southeast. Everyrhing seemingly disappeared as soon as that happened. No signs of speedsters out there yet, unless you like playing with Cownose Rays. There are a zillion out there right now. It’s hard not to foul hook them while jigging.
TIGHT LINEZ!!!
