![]() On Friday we took out Bob Grey and friends for a quick yellowfin trip. Broke the inlet at 3am and were on the grounds within 2 hours due to the approaching weather. First drift produced a nice yellowfin on the jig for Maus, second drift same result landing another and missing a couple more on jigs. Then the rain and winds came on strong. We did our best but with winds gusting to 25 knots it wasn’t easy. We called it by 11:30 and headed for the barn.
With the tremendous yellowfin fishing still on going we will be hosting open boat trips next week after the blow. See the open boat thread for complete details.

![]() Ride out was like a lake. 5 hours later not so much. Around the 40 mile mark thing became interesting. Every wave was breaking, wind was blowing. It looked like boats on the horizon. It got real, really quickly. Didn't stop or slow us down. A few wave we took, went right over us. When you can see the oceans water color on the front windows you know it's big seas. Great boat would not want to be in a center console.
