Breeder Rainbow today! 2/8

Slow just about everywhere I hit this morning. Wasn’t seeing much chasing my offerings at all no matter what I did. Then I worked my way upstream to a hole that had produced Trout over 20 inches in the past for me quite a few times. Wouldn’t you know it? 2nd cast with an olive and black Outofline jig gets friggin smoked by a heavy fish. I’m thinking I’m screwed as there’s a tree in the hole but a quick decision had me crossing the river to pull the fish away from the damn tree. This worked but the fish kept going for it. She was very close to getting into the root system 3 times at least. Thankfully I got her out and when she surfaced my jaw dropped. This is the fattest Rainbow I got in a while. I’m stoked! Hell yesssssss! Took some pics, got a measurement and released the beautiful Bow back into the depths. This one fish was all it took to make my day! Breeder taped out at 21.5 inches. By the looks of her and the insane girth she probably weighed about 5-6 lbs. Who knows? YEA BUDDY! TIGHT LINEZ!!!

Way to go, real NICE fish! Was out the last few days and nothing, fish are hard to come by now!
