Default From SHBA...Thank you All!

We wanted to personally thank EVERYONE who participated in the tourney over the weekend. I know fishing was tough for some and scraping up a decent catch of fluke was difficult it seemed. Yesterday some bigger fish showed up at the weigh station which was nice.

Its everyone who took part that makes it possible every year...for the past 38 years of doing this tourney. Our sponsors gave quite a bit of gifts away on Friday at the captains meeting..I know it took a while to get thru them, it was me calling out the Boat #s and names there! So make sure you give them the support they deserve as well.

Once again, thank you and if you are interested in joining up...our meetings are every 2nd friday of the month at the Senior Citizens building. It doesn't take much to join...but you get quite a bit in return if you put a little effort in.

The 38th annual Sandy Hook Bay Anglers tournament was held July 13 & 14 : We had over 100 entry's and 60+ fish weigh ins.

1st $3,000. Ryan Belusko from Coplay, PA and the angler was Mike Kalincheck 9.6 lbs. 28 1/2"

2nd $1,000. Wade Piscadlo from Manville, NJ 8.4 lbs. 27"

3rd $600. Tom Licknack from Hightstown, NJ 8.4 lbs. 28"

4th $350. Don Coward from So. Amboy, NJ 6.8 lbs. 251/4" Don also won $200. for Saturdays largest fish

5th $250. Mike Ramirez from Matawan, NJ 6.8 lbs. 26"

6th $125. Vito Manzi from Morganville, NJ 6.8 lbs. 26"

7th $100. Eugene Duffner from Freehold, NJ 6.4 lbs. 241/4"

8th $75. James Romano from Port Monmouth< NJ 6.4 lbs. 23"

The ladies prize of a rod and reel winner was Janet Stone from Succasunna, NJ with a 4.2 lb. fish

Thank you to all our sponsors for there continued support.
