![]() I had to go to the base this past Sunday figured I would stopped by the lake and check it. First off there were a number of people fishing without licenses and secondly the amount of trash left be behind was disgusting. There wasn't even a garbage can , not that people would use them.

![]() Unfortunately this happens too often. N.J. conservation patrols are simply next to nothing. There should be more patrols and stiffer fines.

![]() Thanks for the link we will see what happens.
Response from DEP: All our WMAs (and state parks and forests) are "carry in-carry out" facilities and trash and recycling receptacles are not provided - we don't have the resources to afford and maintain them on all the properties we manage. It's unfortunate a few unethical people impact so many others. I forwarded your message to our law office. Should you observe a violation report it directly to the office at 609-259-2120 or the 24/7 DEP Action Line at 877-WARN-DEP (877-927-6337) .
