Default Whale show near Sandy hook channel

Saw a humpback put on a show near Sandy Hook channel and Flynn's Knoll yesterday morning. He was repeatedly slapping the surface of the water with his fluke. Like every 15 seconds. Must have went on for 15 minutes

Saw him right off the nude beach. Amazed how close to the beach he was.

So cool to see this in our locals waters, got to be all the bunker in the area...

Just goes to show what a great move it was to keep those Bunker Reduction boats out past the 3 mile line...

When did this change ?
as pic posted are current regs.
They are only allowed to fish from 6/10 of a mile off the beach to the 3 mile line.

We can only dream .
IMO if we could ever get that all our fisheries would thrive inshore from all the bait and it’s fry.

I saw his neighbor. A SEAL Saturday 5/11 between the #3 and #5 cans in the Shrewsbury.

Hanging out on top. Cut engines and drifted within 20 feet then he left. I guess he too fears yellow boats. LOL
