Default Bass in the river

Had a day off and my favorite boat didn't go out today. Saw a decent report from that other boat so I went. Cap made one quick stop-no good- then stayed in the same place by Bay ridge ALL DAY Made the same drift over and over. Quickly I remembered why I haven't been on that boat since 2016.... Mate ”catering” to certain customers. Just read their report, said 10 fish for 12 people... Not bad except one guy caught 4 fish by himself... At the end of the day I tiped the mate and said my peace to him and that I'll never fish on that boat EVER again.

One of the guys on this site has the best quote of all time (imo) "There is no losing in fishing, you either catch or you learn". Gotta love it. Cheer up, you'll get em next time.

Why would you tip the mate with no fish and ignoring you for his regulars? bad habit. NO fish is luck and captain's choice not mate issue.... but Mate is supposed to hustle. Not just show up and hang out with his buds.

Tips are for trying whether successful or not. He tried. Or he did not.
