![]() (tues) This AM we ran an open boat Tog trip and hit the reef but the fishing was no good. The big blow from the day before did not help the fishing and it was just off for us. We hit several different drops and only one piece had some keepers. It was just one of those days.
(THURS) Today was another open boat trip and the first drop had only some shorts and one keeper, stuck it out a little longer hoping they would bite on the change but no such luck. We made a move to another drop and it had some life with keepers and shorts plus some nice size Sea Bass. The bite was not fast enough so we made a final drop and got a nice pick going of keepers and some shorts and some big knothead Sea Bass. We wound ok for the day, with most guys getting a limit and some had up to 6 keepers (orl). (FRI) This AM we ran our open boat with mostly our regulars and went back to where we caught them on the last drop the day before. It was just a pick of keepers and some shorts but the big Porgys were just a real pain. It was not enough to stay so we made a move and the second drop was good with nothing but Tog on it, this drop was all we needed for the day. The boat had a limit with some guys getting up to seven keepers (orl). It is never how you start the day but how you finish up. SORRY NO PICS , BEEN SLACKING ON THAT OPEN BOAT FROM NY WED THRU FRI, MINIMUM OF 4 TO SAIL
