![]() With the threat of swell I decided to stay off the boat.... ran over to petes, Atlantic bait and Tackle and grabbed 4 dozen green crabs. He’s got plenty in stock! Heading to the canal with fingers crossed. Report later!

![]() My experience in the Tog River (Just like tog fishing anywhere else) can be hit or miss. When their on the chew they chew. Sometimes you just have to wait them out.
I'll take a chance and divulge a tip..…..chumming. Clam, muscles, crab parts. Cant say I know how the fish distribute themselves in the canal (I am sure there are plenty of fish strewn about the middle but along the bulkhead there are depressions in the bottom and tog defiantly make them selves right at home there. Walking along the fence line plumb the bottom with a sinker a bit heaver than what you would fish with. Find a decent hole, position yourself 10 to 20 feet upstream and toss a handful or two of chum. The chum should be crushed in a plastic bucket with a bat. The question is "is this legal"? Not exactly shure but it can wake the buggers up.
