Default Striper vacation

Came up from Florida to see my grandchildren and do some striper fishing.Went out of Keyport with my old friend Ted and his brother Dave. Over to Great Kills and i threw the Percy net one time and had a floater. I guess i can still do it at my age lOL Went around the West Bank area set up and chunked.Nice fish in the 40" range and some smaller around 34''.Kept a few to eat and played catch and release The big gut hooked female was full of green roe and we also had male fish spewing white milt. Stripers full of roe should be up the Hudson spawning. The run is far from over.Must admit i miss the striper fishing! Very sore next day ,don't know how i used to do 30 doubles in a row? Was good to come back to my roots and memories for a bit.Back to Florida now and hope you all have a good June run on the big fish!

Good to see Sal the fellow bricklayer at it again with the stripers. How's Florida treating you? - Cuz-

Nice Sal.
pretty sure the want to fish for those line siders will never go away .

Great to see the Raritan fishery holding strong, as the ocean bite ( Chessy fish ) seems to get worse every season .
