Angry Sandy hook fishing

I went to the fishing beach @Sandy Hook yesterday and what a SHOCK!!! NO BEACH!!! The high tide water line was at the dunes leaving no room to either walk or stand to fish. loads of downed trees all along the dunes...As the tide receded, it was a little better BUT NO fish anywhere. walked all the way to Gunnison Beach(nude beach) casting as I walked using topwater, diamond jigs but nada. The park service needs to get out and clean all of the junk up. It is a 3' step down onto the beach...erosion...will try North Beach next week and hoping it is better...see 'ya all later, RAMMIE

That is true but since fishermen get in for FREE, they will not do anything...we told the rangers about safety issues with steel rods, concrete chunks from WWll bunkers on the beach and they were not interested...maybe when someone gets hurt, they might react....like I mentioned, I will investigate North Beach @ the hook next week. It was always a much larger beach and good access to the tip of the hook too...

North Beach has lots of sand. It's the Fisherman's Beach that's eroded.

You complain to the authorities about hazards on the beach and they will react alright, probably by closing it!
