Default Surf report

Hit the surf this morning at 5am despite the rain. Decided to check out a beach I’ve historically done well on mother’s day weekend. Started out throwing lures and couldn’t buy a hit. The rain picked up at by 6:30 I decided to grab some coffee and rethink my day. Ended up buying 2 quarts of salted clams and head back to where I was fishing to see if the outgoing would produce.

It turned out to be one of the best all day bites I’ve ever had on the surf!

From 7:30-12:30 I caught nearly 40 stripers anywhere from 16”-36”... it was so good at times I would have a fish on before reeling in slack from the cast. As the tide dropped the fish got bigger, they were hitting scraps of clam i would use for porgy.

Epic day I won’t forget anytime soon!
