![]() Hey guys i fish a small lake thats spring fed and 40 ft in the middle. Over the past 15 years or so i have witnessed three fish kills during extremely cold winters that pretty much wiped out the whole lake. Seeing a washed up six pound bass did not sit well with me. From what i read it said to clear snow off of the ice so photosynthesis can take place and keep oxygen in the lake. I also heard that drilling holes in the lake is a must. Any other advice? Thanks guys

![]() Drilling holes in it is a must, as is sending a shiner down said hole, setting your tipup, and waiting for a hungry 6lb. bass to eat it

![]() Oooooooh weeee! Congrats dude. Game changer for sure! You'll still find time to fish once you and the mrs get into a routine. Just remember, one kid is the easiest number of kids (aside from none lol). I have 3 and I still find more than enough opportunity to keep a line wet...year round! Good luck!
