![]() Both the Miss Belmar Princess and the Royal Miss Belmar sailed for stripers on both Saturday and Sunday morning. On Saturday, we started off picking a few fish right away fishing in massive schools of bunkers. As the day went on it was a late bite and Captain Alan on the Royal Miss Belmar stopped on a big school of fish in the bunker and picked a few right away and then started moving to the south. Then the fish came up on top and were splashing all over the surface attacking the bunker. When we stopped on the stripers we had fish on immediately and had up to a couple dozen fish on at once. After getting all the fish on the boat, they then disappeared. We stopped one more time on readings we found and caught a handful more. It was a late day and we didn’t get in until after 4:00 p.m., however, we ended up putting a nice catch together on both boats. Captain Lenny on the Miss Belmar Princess was able to pick away at the fish all day long having a similar day. At the end, both boats ended up having a good day of striper fishing with the amount of boat traffic we had to deal with.
Sunday morning, we came out of the inlet and there were nothing but hundreds of boats trying to fish for stripers. We have never seen so much boat traffic at one time. They pushed all the bunkers out along with the striped bass. We fished from our inlet all the way up to New York with only being able to pick a couple of handfuls of fish. The bunker life and the fish were not there like Saturday. Both boats ended up with around a couple dozen of fish a piece by the end of the day. Overall, it was a very slow day but we tried hard. Hopefully today will be a much better day. I spoke with Captain Lenny this morning and he already had a handful of stripers on the boat right outside the inlet. I will today’s report later when we get in. Sailing daily for stripers and blues from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Interested in an extra keeper for striper season? Get your bonus tag HERE. The Miss Belmar Princess is the largest, fastest and cleanest fishing boat in Belmar. With Miss Belmar's 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it. No other boat comes close. Try us and you'll see why. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
