![]() From page 21 of http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/pdf/2017/digfsh16-23.pdf :
1. Only artificial lures may be used. 2. Possession or use of bait (live or preserved) or any substance (natural or synthetic) that contains a concentration of bait scent is prohibited. |

![]() I'd really like to know too! I live really close to KLG and would love to throw some trout magnets in there. I feel like it wouldn't be a problem seeing as they are unscented and artificial, but just wanted to be sure before I tried.

![]() I don't see how it's a gray area. Unscented plastics are artificial + ... unscented so clearly accepted. Some flies even incorporate plastics so no arguing there.

![]() This gent is spot on. No issues with TM's so long as the tails are un-scented. One of my faves for TCA's and WTS's are Creme's Midjit Crawlers in natural coloration. Been using them for decades going all the way back to when we only had 2 'Natural Trout Fishing' areas, which back then were Mulhockaway Crk and Van Campens Brk. This was of course way before the introduction of our present WTS program. The regs were single barbless hooks, artificials only.

![]() Yeah the only reason I thought it was a grey area because people used to tell me it was strictly fly fishing only. But now that I know all unscented artificials are good to use I can't wait to get in there and catch some trout!
