Thumbs up Re: Ribber comes alive

How do you catch Gizzard Shad, we have a ton of them in the Raritan but rarely hook one. Nice stripers. I bet F&G would like some intel to the locations of those River Herring.

I tried floating some flutter spoons I use for the Americans in front of them but they ingnored it . They were foul hooked on the spoons.. Stacked up like cordwood.Other species hit small grub on jighead.

Those are some real nice river herring. Those gizzards are massive, too. They stink to high hell hahaha...

I catch gizzard shad, foul hooked or hooked, on small kastmasters or small husky jerks all the time.

I know that gizzard nursery!!! Can't believe you would actually handle another one of those things after the first one. haha...Good to see some juvy stripes are up in the mix.

I figured how bad could they be when 10-year-olds are scooping them up by the net full in front of me. I was excited about the herring though. The speed on those fish are amazing.
