Was on the non sponser trip tuesday-Wednesday, started out mahi Fishing which was decent. Probably around 100 mahi on the boat. Started chunking around 6, one tuna was caught around 7 and then another around 10. A short sword was caught and a couple other hookups throughout the night but nothing landed. At sunrise two more tuna were caught on jigs. One yellowfin and one longfin.

Another disappointing tuna run. Mahi are saving the season. But the extra miles to the canyon seem a waste so far this year?

Hoping it breaks open! However, something has to change. The definition of insanity - "doing the same things over and over again with the same poor results". Dont get me wrong, there will eventually be a hot bite, but it will only a few out of dozens of trips. Apparently the commercial guys are crushing them far off shore.

Here's a barometer.........I haven't been reading too many reports from the Canyon Runner Fleet. If Adam's boys are not catching them, they are not there.

Very slow on the tuna front. We were out Tues-Wes, all the Mahi you wanted and Blue Sharks at night but no sign of Tuna. We tried a different area other than the Hudson. Only tuna we heard about was out in the deep of hudson.

We worked Lindy, stayed the night in NE corner, worked east toward the longliners and back in towards Carteret. There was another boat in Lindy that left and a boat in spencer. We all had same outcome.
