Default Wanaque

Saw this while I was on the upper wanaque and around monksville last week.(water was green brown smelly and fast) seeing the road it still looks kinda new. Points almost north and south - pointing right at the monksville damn.

This is upper wanaque last week ish

From Skyline Dr. to the Monksville Dam, the views of the reservoir are pretty amazing. As the article states, you can clearly see old roads and foundations of the old homes. Pretty cool stuff.

It was pretty crazy the last time I was up there (a month ago), can only wonder how it looks now. I read this article in the Sunday paper, and I wanted to take the ride up there just to see how crazy it looks now. Think I'll be doing that this weekend

While sight-seeing, be careful not to pass any 'No Trespassing' signs or fences. That reservoir has a lot of security. They really have an issue with non-employees accessing any part of that reservoir.

LOL, I wonder how long I can stand on the legal side of the fence scoping it out with a pair of binoculars before an officer is on the scene?
