Party boat angler saturday report

We fished a different area today and only made one move at the end of the day . We could have stayed where we were but I wanted to check out a drop close by for tomorrow. We had crabs and everyone on board was more interested in tog than porgies and were happy to keep one black fish and play catch and release. Jose Rayes from Garfield won todays pool with an 8 pound tog and through back 20 smaller fish with many that were legal size. I was the only one fishing with clam for most of the trip and there were plenty of porgies. Towards the end of the trip a few switched to the soft bait and also caught. Everyone had there keeper tog and 5 to 20 porgies. It was a fun day with plenty of action. It is a shame that we can't keep sea bass and more tog.
