![]() ive never seen that color water just appear like that.. it looks like the cobalt blue water just offshore that blew in with the east wind mixed with our green water and made that milky color .

![]() Yeah when we were at the Barnegat reef the other day it was that nasty color. Dirty pool water color. Just gross. We high tailed it outta there and found some clean water

![]() Many years ago, Capt Bogan took us from the unproductive Hudson to the South Toms & funky water like that. WTF-no fish in this water-said readings @ 150'-Dennis & I went down with 12oz-hooked up in 3-4 min & got 90# YFT...Did that water go that deep or were we at the thermocline & out of it? We didn't know or care.

![]() Haven't seen the water everyone is talking about but it sounds for any old timers on the site like the waters that used to exist at the Acid Grounds. The Acid Grounds was a dump site for acid and alkaline wastes which was closed in 1988. The water there was almost a turquoise milky white coloration but it attracted bait fish which attracted blue fish. Very popular spot back in the 80's. Never know how fish will respond to water discoloration, sometimes it's a different form of structure which provides a hiding spot for bait fish which in turn attracts the predator fish. Only one way to find out, find it and wet the lines! If that water stays local God only knows what kind of fish will be in it. Pretty amazing stuff! What's the NJ record for a tarpon!

![]() Thats a nice picture, is that from a satellite services subscription? Also wondering if that water is still around or did it move further north.
