39 Salmon!
My fishing buddy called me while I was sitting in traffic on Friday. He was on Wawayanda and was ecstatic. He and his partner had already boated 38 landlocked salmon, trolling spoons on lead core at 25-30 feet. While he was talking he had to put down the phone to help his partner land another. I have no idea how many they ultimately caught but he said he never had an afternoon of fishing like this in his life. He said most were 16-18 inch "cookie cutters" but their biggest was 21". I know the guy well and he is no BSitter.
Nice to hear while sitting in Holland Tunnel traffic...not. |

Re: 39 Salmon!
Unfortunately my boat is laid up now. Well not the boat, but the trans on my car is shot and towing the boat is not a good idea at this point. I'm looking at another car tomorrow. If I buy it then it may take a week before I can get a hitch put on it. It's a terrible time to have the boat out of business.
If anybody knows of someone selling a small SUV in good condition with a manual trans, hook me up. A hitch already on the car is a bonus. |
