Default Prowler5 - Sat., March 26th, Out on the First Bass Trip

Hey gang, Capt. Scott here. I just got a call from the boys. They are on their way to the bass grounds on our first trip of the 2016 season. 15 anglers aboard, not bad for the first trip. I'll give a follow-up report later and let you guys know what the water temperature is and maybe some pictures. Tomorrow is Easter so we won't be sailing. And we're going to give it a break during the week and light up again next Saturday, April 2nd. Thx., Capt. Scott

Default Follow-Up Re: Prowler5 - Sat., March 26th, Out on the First Bass Trip

Hey gang. We gave it a valiant effort today, but we did not catch any stripped bass. We covered a lot of ground, from Cliffwood Beach to the flats to Keansburg to Port Monmouth. Made many drops. Just was nothing to catch. Hats off to the crew today, Kenny and Ritchie for making sure we had fresh clams for today's trip and using extra bait working hard to try and catch some fish. If there were some fish to be caught today I would have shaped up during the week - but that being said - we're going to wait until Saturday, April 2nd before we sail again. Our water temperature was inoperative today. Although, we had a little boat, tell one of my deckhands, Capt. Kenny on the phone that the temperature was 51 degrees. Anyway, it felt good to be out on the bass grounds again. Looking forward to getting back out there next week. Hopefully, I'll have a better report. Happy Easter. Thx., Capt. Scott, Prowler5
