Lightbulb Freshwater Fisheries Forum January 30 at Hackettstown Hatchery

A public forum to discuss freshwater fisheries research, management and recreational angling in New Jersey will be held on Saturday January 30 at the Hackettstown State Fish Hatchery in Warren County. The forum will begin at 10:00 am.

Usually between 1 and 2 hours total - not really that long.

You can usually get the chance to see some cool stuff at the hatchery too if you have some more time.

You also get a chance to speak with the biologists who monitor our ponds, lakes and streams and recommend regulation changes to the F&G council. If you have any concerns for a specific water or for a species' regs in general it's a chance to be heard by those who can make changes if warranted. Also most of the biologists hang around for some time after the 'official' meeting so you can have an opportunity to speak one-on-one with them if you wish.

In my opinion the minimum size on everything should increase by 25 percent or so!!!

Should be 1 or 2 fish and a slot size to protect our fatties! 16-20" or so... Maybe lower. I dunno when they reach boom boom time maturity or if they successfully breed in the RR though.

i would like to see a reduction in all daily creel limits, especially lmb 5 fish is just too many
