depends on the weather. i don't have a truck so if it snows a lot i might have to wait. going to go after work today and jig. if you're going on hopatcong, be aware there were big open holes all over state park cove a day ago so the ice might be spotty in some areas.

I passed by Kakeout Reservoir today. Oddly enough the big side to the north of Fayson Lakes Rd was frozen solid across as far as I could see. No evidence of anybody fishing it though, The smaller south side of the road, which usually freezes first and is last for ice out, had a significant portion of open water. After 20 years of living nearby I never saw that happen. The smaller south side is usually solid ice while the other side of the road is spotty.

So seriously, be careful out there. Places that are usually safe in early season may not be and once the snow falls the weak spots may not be obvious.

Let me see.

So far I am game for tomorow. If you see me rocking from side to side you know its not the wind. Just make sure to lock all your cars since I usually fall asleep in a first open one.

I am all set for Sunday as well and it wont be hard to find me. Just follow the liquor trail.

Andre
