8/20 Afternoon Whiting / Haddock and Night Squid
ANNIE B - Eastmans (Yesterday) Results
We left the dock at 3 PM in a Heavy Fog took us about 2 Hours 15 Minutes to get to the first drop. We went for Haddock first and had our Haddock Limit in about 45 minutes Once again OUTSTANDING Job by Captain Nate Ribblett We then went about another 30 Minutes to fish for Whiting but well aware the Whiting bite is usually ONLY a day time bite in the Deep Water we fish so we caught 20 Whiting rather quickly and between the heavy Fog and Sunset the Whiting bite turned completely off. We then went for Ling (Red Hake) and it was lights out as we caught well over 200 Ling for 6 Anglers We then headed inshore and about 10:45 Captain Nate set up for Squid and we hammered the Squid with well over 300 Squid landed for the 6 of us We also caught Mackerel on the Squid Jigs, Had several BIG Blue Sharks up to 300 Lbs tear our tackle apart while we were Offshore, Landed 5 Nice Pollack and Ralph Ralph Scaglione-Vis Imaging-Rodwinder also had a Big Tuna eat off one of his Haddock and he fought the Giant for about 30 seconds before breaking off Thats it till next week Another mixed bag extravaganza in the books Last edited by fishark531; 08-21-2015 at 08:12 PM.. |

How deep are the whiting? I overheard 350'-400'. Is this true?
