Mad gaffer p.m. charter fluke report
We came back to the boat shortly afternoon . we had been working on it all morning. I got a phone call from a group of people that wanted a short afternoon Charter , we went out a little bit later and despite a few showers we did very very well. Time restraints kept me from going very far but we fish some hard bottom A few miles north of the inlet. We had a pleasant surprise we wound up finding some decent fluke fishing. We wound up with nearly a dozen keeper fluke , and at least that many throwbacks, The biggest fish was about 4 pounds but all the fish we kept our respectable fish. (19 inches or so )Constantine DeMarco. of Philadelphia and family wound up leaving with a nice bag of fillets to take home. Most of the Fish were taken on bucktails and gulp bait which his two older sons were very adept at using, A couple of the keepers were caught on bait. the charter was a pleasant surprise and so was the fishing . we have an open boat trip for fluke tomorrow with plenty of room . it looks like a nice day to bucktail ,there is not much wind forecasted And I will be able to go further and fish better areas although , this afternoon was no slouch. Call for information and reservations
