Default Catfishing question to the vets.

I'm trying to take my young brother and brother in law catfishing tomorrow. Could any of you guys send me a pm on where we could possibly go catch some (middlesex/somerset area) I have tried taking them a couple times now and we have only caught maybe one or 2 of them and they are tiny. Would really appreciate any help guys. And what kind of bait? We have used night crawlers and caught the 2 we got, tried chicken livers and didn't get anything. Maybe I'm doing something wrong or going to the wrong spots?
