Default New Member! Any tips?

Hi, I'm new to NJFISHING and do most my fishing either off my Pro Angler Hobie kayak with my dad or jump on a party boat. I mostly fish in the summer but, whenever I get some free time from school or soccer I find a way to go fishing. I was thinking to try my luck at some bass off my kayak on Monday after school with my dad at Raritan Bay does anybody have any tips? What should I bring (Fresh Bunker?Clams?Troll?) I would be fishing around 4:00 - Sunset. I have caught a ton of bass though out my time fishing but haven't been able to get one on my kayak. or Would I have more luck at some bluefish in the river? Im not looking for exact spots but anything would help.
Thanks. Tight lines
