Noticed that I was about to roll over my post count so I took a minute to think, and realized how much this site has helped me expand my fishing over the past few years. I've fished New Jersey since I was a kid and knew about the spots around where I lived, but once I was on NJF it really opened my eyes to the diversity of what our state has to offer anglers. So, thanks to Gerry Z. for running the place and ALL my fellow NJF members (even you Mikey ) for always keeping it interesting here on the board and at the get togethers.

Off the top of my head, without NJF I probably wouldn't have:
-caught any of the lakers at RVR
-put my boat in the passaic at elmwood park
-binskys
-boated so many fluke last year in first season back on the salt in 15+ years (will have to up that keeper ratio a bit this year)
-spent so many hours and hours and hours looking at pictures of fish when i should be working

What's NJF done for you?

Made me fish round valley, lake hopatcong, and spruce run reservoir.
Made me buy my own boat!
Made me catch my first lake trout, hybrid, Canadian walleye, and Canadian pike.
Njf made me buy olaner boards and troll for the first time this yr as soon as we get open water!
This is a great website with all great people!

Very Nice!!!! It's amazing how much better of an angler you can become with the NJF family!!!

Learned so many things here, completely changed my style of fishing!!!

It helped me dive into NJ freshwater fishing. I hardly even knew what I was doing beforehand (still know very little )

Without it I probably wouldn't bought a boat.
It helped me fish the Raritan, Passaic, RVR, Spruce, LH, Delaware, and various PA and NY lakes.
It helped me catch PR: Hybrid, LMB, Pike, Rainbow/Brook Trout, and Laker.
But most importantly it helped me enjoy the beautiful NJ outdoors and spend time with my family, especially my father.

Great Post!

I can certainly echo the comments of all you guys in that it has really opened up my view to all kinds of fishing. Still suck at most of it but I have tried many places and styles that otherwise would not have. Plus the friendship, road trips, and MnG's...hell I even had a few of the crazies at my house...and most likely will again if guys are up for it...It's all been awesome. Too much to write for sure.

Special thanks for the great site Gerry and to allow us all to make it what it is and to Andy as our Freshwater Leader and remover of all things not natural from the Raritan!

Thanks for all the thanks but the real thanks go out to Andy and all of you that make this place welcoming, informative, friendly and social.

Andy approached me about adding a fresh water section to the site a number of years back. It started out slow but he worked it tirelessly (no pun intended) and never missed an opportunity to network with other people and groups to promote it and all the while keeping things in order.

Fast forward to now and look how this section has grown.

Pretty amazing what a great group of people we have here and I'm proud to be associated with all of you.

NJFishing.com has expanded my fishing horizons beyond the reservoirs along the Route 78 corridor. Without these fishing report threads it never would have occurred to me to try my hand at urban fishing like fishing sections of the Passaic and Pompton Rivers.

I look at the South Branch with a new set of eyes thanks for Andy's threads.

I had the opportunity to meet some great people and dedicated anglers from this site like Mitch and Dale.

And I wasted countless hours at work browsing through the threads everyday.
