![]() Do you think the approaching hurricane will improve tuna fishing for next week? Long range forecast calls for a Cat 2-3 hurricane well off of NC for Fri/Sat/Sunday - no threat to land though! I'm wondering if it will help improve things? Thoughts?

![]() I have always done very well 2 to three days prior to a hurricane being here.
In 1999 there was a large storm down off of Bermuda and the swells had moved amazingly blue water into the Mud Hole. The swells were 10-15 feet high but 50 yards apart. Huge grass lines developed and Mahi and tuna were abundant. We scooped up some of the grass and my cousin who is a marine biologist was showing me all the life in the grass. File fish, baby marlin, all kinds of little ecosystems had been put together by the wind and tide action of the impending storm. |

![]() Inshore or offshore pre front fishing is usually excellent.
