![]() Has anyone ever fished in the Catskills? In the Wurtsboro and Monticello area. Is there rivers to fish for trout? I know there are lakes. What is there to fish for in those lakes?
Thank you

![]() The neversink river is a nice trout river with public access. There's also the Bashakill on 209 in wurtsboro. Tons of pickerel and bass, it's also a great spot for migratory birds. You can Google public access spots.

![]() Alot of those lakes off the quick way are private. Good smb, the usual suspects, no pike.

![]() From Monticello it's a short run west on Rt 17 to the Willowemoc/Beaverkill fishery. Excellent trout fishing. Also as
gwl2onieda stated, the Neversink boasts some mighty fine brown trout angling. |
