Miss Belmar - weekend wrap up

Friday night, we fished south east of our inlet with very little luck. We had some fish early but it tapered off to nothing even after we made a move. We read fish and saw them on the surface but they would not cooperate. Jerry Bjorhlund from Lansdowne, PA won the pool with a 13 lb blue.

Saturday morning, we caught some nice big blues up to 19 lb’s north of our inlet. Crocs & 47’s, both black and green, worked great.

Saturday night, fishing was terrible with only a few blues being caught. We did put in the effort and tried north and east of our inlet with no luck. Fishing was tough all around for the entire fleet as we were all looking for them. Jose Sotto won the pool with a 12 lb blue.

Sunday morning, we jigged small blues inshore. We looked around and couldn’t find the big blues anywhere.

This morning, we fished out east and caught some little blues, along with some mackerel and bonito, before we had to head in early because of strong north east winds.

Due to strong northeast winds, we will NOT be sailing tomorrow, Tuesday, September 9th, or Wednesday, September 10th, 2014. We will resume our normal schedule on Thursday, September 11th, 2014 for blues at 7:30 a.m.

Sailing daily for blues from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and every Friday & Saturday night from 7:30 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.
