WEll! I got the skunk! And its that simple not something i like but it happens not often but it wasnt from lack of trying fished outgoing up here until around midnight with no action was nice i was all by myself but shoulda took the hint. Then headed south got to my favorite spot and pluged away until i was blue in the face nothing taking tonight off and guna do some blackfishing as i to am a addict

Don't feel bad. Lots of us were disappointed on Friday. There were some very brief flurries in northern Monmouth County in a couple of spots but it was pretty much over before 9:00 A.M. There was good fishing with bass, mostly, in the wash the day before (Thursday). A couple of yakers limited with bass among the birds and splashes out of casting range. At least there's more fish showing up in the suds. If we ever had a run of peanut bunkers, the surf fishing would be more consistent and more productive. The bass we caught last week from the boat were empty despite the abundance of bait. Water temps are not really cold yet and the fish are having a smorgasbord wherever and whenever they want to eat.

i tried pp for the first time, from 7 to 11, nada. tried needlefish, spro, and ava, no takers on the outgoing. thats the story of my life. gonna take a break, not much of a fall run for me this year.
