Default "ROUGH" surf fishing

Couldn't take it anymore and decided to head down to the beach. Walked down to find my jetty was covered completely in sand. So after a long walk to the water, only to be greeted by some 8' breakers, which I knew would be the case. Figured metal would be the only option today with a 25knt NE. Tried throwing a plug first only to have it come right back to my feet. So on went the A67 and second cast I get a fish, or a rat. Another hour of casting the big jig and my arm was spent. Had a couple more bumps and lost one after a couple of seconds. At least my hand smelt like fish and it was nice to wet a line. The fish are there and should be good after the blow.

I had to get out too and gave it a shot this morning. Heavy Metal was the only to go. No luck. Beautiful sunrise with the rays shooting through the clouds, but left the camera in the car.
