I fish the inlet from shore often because it is close to where I vacation and easy and safe to fish with kids there. However, I have not found it to be a very productive spot. I am usually at the rail or the lagoon though. I do not often go out on the jetty.

If you plan to fish there go near the monument and watch the regulars. They use live killies or gulp and catch some fluke but not that many keepers.

There have been plenty of keepers caught (#9) this season from the monument east to where the jetty starts. I've caught at least one keeper each time I was there this season to 23"s.

I actually fished the inlet today. The statue is on the far left side of the parking lot. Too crowded there today so tried my luck on the jetty. Tons and tons of shorts and all the sea robins you wanted and then some. There were all deep in the inlet.. I usually fish the wall but seemed to be the same story up and down. Tried a few crabs and lots of bergal bites.
