I only know of one...
It's down in South Jersey on the Batsto River. It's there to help the River Herring get over the Mill dam into the lake in the town of Batsto.

OK so unless I counted wrong (or got an old or incorrect report) there are 13 with 2 others approved but pending installation. And 1 Notched Dam so I'm not sure if that counts. of the 13 ladders 6 of them have confirmed movement of anadromous fish.

Of course I cheated and did a search...c'mon no one knows this stuff except Andy!

How do the fish grab the rungs without hands? I don't like ladders and I'm human (some may say that's debatable.) I can't imagine climbing a ladder with only fins and a tail. I think some sort of bucket elevator would be easier.

I know of 2 in Ocean County within 2miles of each other. But my guess statewide would be around 15.
