![]() Hit the D&R canal off Easton Ave at 3 this afternoon. Caught six small sunnies in an hour, none of them bigger than my hand. Water moving real slow and pretty clear. Tons of little baby fish or bait fish everywhere I looked.
I had a blast catching the sunnies, beautiful fish and a great opportunity for me to practice releasing fish unharmed. Im not sure if I was only catching small fish because that's all that was out there today or if it had to do with my tactics. I was just casting worms and slowly retrieving them across the canal. Also tried casting upstream with a bobber and letting it.float downstream. I caught fish both ways. What do.you guys think, can I catch bigger fish like this in the canal or do I need to try something else? |

![]() Shucker
After seeing the pics you posted today, I'd be crazy not to take your advice! Would I hook it through dorsal fin? Would I need real heavy line? |

![]() I hook em behind dorsal fin or chunk em,big kittys in the canal.I'm not a big fan of heavy tackle 10lb is the max I go for anything in the fresh, probably why I loose so many fish.
