I use Nylon mono cord fly tying thread color white size “D” and 4 pound test Andy clear mono. Like the clear mono. It's strong and thin. You can see the colors of whatever bucktail material used through the clear mono.

I have been using Pro-wrap rod tying thread in size A and really like it. It is strong enough and it is thin. I have 2 bobbins set up, one with chartreuse and one with red.
