Default Striped bass report march 24th

We decided to take a little late notice trip and see what we could do. Was supposed to do something today but it got cancelled so we decided to give it a shot. Left the dock around 12 and back by 6. Beautiful day on the water. Flat calm all day and wasnt even that cold. Fishing the incoming tide. Absolutly nothing... And i mean nothing. Dead as could be. Not even a hit. Water temp was 43... Too cold still. Everything was right but they just werent there. Didnt even mark fish. Bummer. Gana give the next 4 days off and let whatever is coming pass buy and then right back out there. Need this water temp to get up there. Hate to give you guys these reports but at least im honest. Not this week but the next week i have the ENTIRE WEEK OFF... Cant get much better. Tight lines guys, johnny bucktails

Love the enthusiasm, but "everything was right" with 43-degree water and no signs of life anywhere?

May have been the wrong tide...early in the season best to fish the end of the outgoing on a warm sunny day when the waters at its warmest..

Covered the whole Reach and flats from Tottenville to A.H. coming home today, water temp 39.6, not a bait, fish, bird or anything that looked promising. Hopefully 2 more weeks.
Patience will pay off, it always does!
