Thumbs up Oswego River 10/26 10/27

Hit the big river friday with Matt, Mike and Yuri. weather was warm and a sunny 80 degrees. Lots of Salmon in the river, 75% of them are just about dead. Fished all day with my man Matt hooking into his first ever King Salmon. I was happy to see him land his first SALMONOID. Yuri and mike fished for Steelies and Browns the entire trip. Yuri got a beautiful 8.5 lb Brown on a natural egg. Mike did not do well on this trip, I dont think he landed anything. BUMMER! He hooked alot of CHROME but never got them to the net. Day 2, Saturday, cloudy overcast around 55 degrees. We got down to the river bright and early. Mike again hooks alot of fish but just cant get em in with the 4lb leader. Yuri got the SKUNK. Matt hooked a good amount of Kings and a 15 lb Steelie that made a run that was impossible to turn. 50-60 yards of line gone in about 2 seconds, fish hit some current and came unglued. We fished oz for the entire trip because of a lack of water in the tribs. I really wanted to hit these under fished tribs but the timing and water levels just were'nt right. Sunday we didn't fish, woke up late do to the fact that we were partying til 4 am. LOL, we didn't crawl out of bed until 10, LOL!!! All in all a fair trip with fished hooked and lost. Some did well, others did not. Im amped that Matt got a King and got a taste of the madness. Heres a few pics. TIGHT LINES GOOD TIMES!!!

This week if the storm dumps on the region those tribs will load up with fish! That will kick off the steelhead in style all over the east end of the lake! Been invited up in two weeks , maybe hit it right.
Haven't fished in many a moon to crowded , but got the go back bug, see what happens.

Capt. Lou, you can count on the tribs being loaded with fish by this weekend. Might have to make a return trip real soon. Go get em.
