Default the crappies turned on!!!

fished friday after work at lake hopatcong.got there around 5:30 and started picking some crappie and perch.then around 6:30 the crappie started to really turn on.they were mixed in size from 5" up to 14".they bit right till dark.saturday morning i started at 7 right were we left them bitting only to find a few small perch and some bluegills.i pick up and moved to a small lagoon just off the main lake.the crappie were stack up and for a hour and a half it was game on.they were hitting everything and anything as fast as you could get it out there.the sun broke thru the fog and shut everything down.tried a bunch of different places but only caught a few small pickerel.
waited till 5pm and went back to were we fished friday afternoon and it was a pick until the last hour of light when the crappies showed up.we caught them very good till dark.sunday my son and i hit that small lagon at 7:30am and had the crappie right till 10:30am.again it didn't matter what ya used as long as it was in the water they hit it.the perch are in full spawn mode as they were dropping their every were.

Great job man! I have been slamming the perch with my son the past weekends, so havent made it to hopatcong yet. Watching my six year old catch 30-40 perch a day is just too much fun to leave.

Fished Hopatcong 3/18 so foggy in morning had to rely on gps to find my way. Anchored from 7-11am and caught at least 50 fish from pickerel to sunnys. Big fat perch full of eggs.

I may take my son to hopatcong soon...i know i can put him on perch where i have been fishing, and i dont want my little man getting "bored". I wont...but a six year old sees it differently.
