Default Friday morn on the D

Hit the river at first light this morning. Fished a spot I had scouted earlier on the pa side. Big long Eddie. Threw swim shad mostly....nada. changed up to a zoom fluke on a shakey head jig. Landed a short (17") walleye and a 14" smallie. At least the skunk is off. Not being satisfied and knowing there had to be more fish in there I kept at it. Changed back to the swim shad and and changed up my retrieve..and bam, nice keeper walleye. Wind picked up after that so decided to leave. Hit one more spot on the Jersey side but no one home.

Cool, I thought there were icebergs floating down the river.

Sounds like a good day man. A couple fish are better then no fish. That’s for sure. They stack up in certain areas for the spawn so it can be really really good in the near future.

still exploring, looking for my next honey hole. got one in mind, but as with anything access is the issue especially from shore. both walleye i caught were males so i think they are starting to get into their prespawn groove.
