What started as a very slow day, wound up to be a pretty good one . We had the privilege of having Nelson Mendoza And friends out on their yearly fishing excursion. Nelson has fished with me For about 15 years. About three years ago we thought Nelson would never fish with us again . He was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and only giving a few months to live . When I saw him are year and a half ago, he looked a little peaked after chemo, but he had outlived expectations then, and fished all day. Today I’m glad to say , He fished all day, and caught Fish all day. Did I tell you he looks 10 years younger. Nelson has a huge spirit an Iron will to survive, and I feel he will see the doctors that diagnosed him terminal , Die of old age Go lNelson !!!!!!!!!!!. Back to the fishing , what started off very slow wound up pretty much OK lots of shorts , and a good deal of keepers , including a couple of big ones. Looks like a little bit of a blow this afternoon into evening , but then it switches to the west blows hard , and starts to diminish tomorrow . We will be out tomorrow , and still have plenty of spots available call for informat and reservations pictures to follow
