![]() KLG is nice. No live bait, and no kill, just remember that.
Go their during peak times and there will be a fly fisherman standing right in the middle of every deep hole, I'd pass but they put about 200 million trout in that 3 mile stretch of water every year. |

![]() Pluses:Nice scenery, easy access, ample parking, no bait, lots of fish stocked, keeps a lot of the dbags concentrated away from the general regs areas.
Minuses: Snooty fly fisherman, dog walkers, people with money who think they're entitled. I'm a pretty hardcore fly fisherman and I fish it maybe once a year cause it's just not my scene. You can find good fishing in other places on the SBR without the hassles and regulation restrictions of KLG |

![]() I have to agree. I used to fish it a lot, not so much anymore. Driving down through Long Valley you only see a few guys fishing, once you get to KLG it's full of fishermen. Do yourself a favor and learn the river above Califon. As a bonus, it's full of wild browns.

![]() One other thing about the SBR above KLG, it has limestone influences and the stream bottom can be mucky in places. Use caution, I had a friend get himself into a situation were he was sinking into the muck and was unable to get out. The water was just about to come over the top of his waders when a dog walker spotted him and used a large branch to help him to safety.
