![]() went to splitrock today with a friend to try and get some perch and anything else that wanted to play nice. we got there and had a long walk to the spot that i wanted to try and was not let down. the first hole we set was not in the water for more than 5 min and "FLAG UP" a 13 inch perch was flappin on the ice. we fished in 8 to 25 ft of water and most of the fish were in the 18 to 22 ft range, they did not want anything to do with the jigs at all just minnows on tip ups. we had steady action most of the day. we called it the day at 5 pm and walked back to our trucks under a nice sunset.i ended up with 13 keeper perch for the table. it was nice to fish home waters were i grew up. alot of nice memories at the rock in the years past.

![]() Nice catch. I'm used to perch shallow over residual weeds, so it's interesting you got them so deep.

![]() Always a great place to fish. I hope that planned boat ramp never happens, it would ruin it.
