Default Hunts Pond

Was wondering if anyone has fished Hunts Pond off rt 94 in Sussex County, was wondering what kind of fish are in there besides bass and sunnies? Was up to Swartswood Lake Saturday and got a big skunk, nothing!! At the launch most boaters said the same, high pressure put the fish off the bite. Marked lots of walleye, not even a crappie!!! Was wondering if Hunts Pond had Crappie

i don't like hearing this from swartswood...we had trouble there catching any fish of size a few months back and after the two poisonous algae breakouts there, I'm beginning to wonder if it killed a bunch of fish or screwed them up or something...I usually do well there november/december until it gets iced over, so i guess I'll find out for myself soon enough

njtom, read where it was open to the public to fish, I may call the state and find out for sure, Chrisper the Saturday we went a high pressure system came through, think that's what turned the fish off. Was really hoping for some crappie. Was really warm last Saturday, water was a little clouded and greenish, took me an hour to get there so I was a little disappointed in the fishing, but learned a little more how to use my new lowrance gen 3 fish finder, they are getting harder to use

never had a problem catching crappie there, we always fall back on them if the bass aren't biting and can always get a few of them to chew at the very least...i really think that algae fiasco over there messed stuff up, but we'll see.
